Historic and Cultural legacy of Avignon

During your stay in our guest house at Isle of Barthelasse, the Palace of the Popes remains a must-see historical monument. In the vicinity of our bed and breakfast, discover the medieval villages and Luberon: Villeneuve lez Avignon, Les Baux de Provence, Saint Remy de Provence or Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Festivals abound in the region with the Jazz Festival, Orange Choregies and, of course, the famous Avignon Festival, one of the most important theater and live shows in the world. You will also appreciate the many free museums around our house in Avignon.

Specialties of the region

Discover the first AOC in the world, Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Many wine tours with tastings are organized. The Wine Museum is worth the detour. Another flagship product of our region: lavender. Near our house, you can visit a distillery. The Lavender Museum in Coustellet and the Aromas and Perfume Museum in Graveson-en-Provence will reveal all the secrets of this emblem of Provence. The Chateau dEstoublon in the Alpilles and the Maison Bronzini in Villeneuve-lez-Avignon will share with you their know-how around olive oil.

Electric bike rental

It is possible to rent electric bikes directly at the Mas via our partner Bike South Spirit. Ideal to discover the region, you will be able to pre-register your circuit on the GPS installed on the electric bicycles. Guided tours of Avignon by electric bike are also possible.

Wine testing on site

Mas Château Blanc offers you, in partnership with oenologist Christophe Reboul (The Rolling Wines), to discover the vineyards of the Rhône Valley through a presentation followed by a tasting of four 'Crus'. If the weather permits, this presentation can take place in the Mas garden, with the The Rolling Wines vintage wine-truck
